Fire station shuts for Suzie’s bath

A New York City fire station had to close for 30 minutes to bathe a circus elephant.

The Uniformed Firefighters Association said Brooklyn’s Engine Company 245 did not want to join the photo opportunity with circus elephant Suzie, part of the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey show in Coney Island.

But it said civic chiefs ordered the station to take part.
